Mabway Ltd is a leading provider of training support services to the Ministry of Defence. We are currently delivering a range of capabilities that include exercise design and delivery, role play, battlefield effects and casualty simulation. We are looking to build our team and have a position that will play a key role in the design and delivery of collective training in the land environment.

This is a role that will make a significant contribution to the Army’s operational outputs through intimate involvement in the design, planning and delivery of major training events. The role requires an up to date understanding of the Army’s training model and will involve liaison with senior stakeholders to contribute to and advise on the design and delivery of support to training activities. Specifically, the role requires an individual that can cohere all the elements our training support during the exercise Preparation phase; this would include implementing the event specific Planning Directive, assigning individuals with the appropriate skills and experience to conduct activities such as preparation of Operational Staff Work and ensuring their contribution is delivered on time and to the standard required. The role also includes recruitment and assignment of the individuals who will directly support event delivery and throughout this process there will be regular liaison with all stakeholders. During event delivery, it is expected that the Exercise Manager will interface with the senior staff from the military training establishment where the event is being conducted and with Mabway’s deployed personnel to ensure outputs are to the standard required. There will be post event activities that contribute to Exploit activities.

The role will be based in Warminster and will be within Mabway’s Exercise Plans Team. Liaison with stakeholders is expected to ensure a common understanding of training support requirements so that training outputs are achieved that deliver operational capability, some travel will be necessary to achieve this.

The role will have a quality assurance (QA) aspect to ensure that Mabway’s contractual standards are met including but not limited to Key Performance Indicators.

Essential requirements for the role are:

• Military experience at a minimum of OF4.
• Currency with UK Military doctrine and concepts.
• Robust character, able to work with minimum of guidance beyond initial instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experienced in the use of MS Office and applications.
• Good negotiating and interpersonal skills.
