Chris Money / National Operations Manager
Chris retired from the Army to join Mabway as National Operations Manager in April 2006. His appointments as a late-entry officer included Regimental Career Management Officer and Training Officer, The Queens Royal Lancers. During his 25 years in the Army he was employed in a number of training environments, including The Joint Service Command & Staff College / Cranfield University, The Royal Armoured Corps Armour Centre and The United States Army Armor School. His service included tours throughout Europe, North America and The Middle East.

Robert Cheyne / Trainer
Robert Cheyne completed 23 years service in the British Army before joining Mabway as a trainer in 2006. His last appointment in the Military before leaving was as a Warrant Officer on a major Army PFI (Project Allenby Connaught), with his main role one of information gathering / data analysis and liaison between all parties involved. During his service he has been in key training and management roles.

Jason Hicks / Training Products Manager
Jason left the Armed Forces to pursue a career within the civilian training sector. Having served in both the Infantry and the Royal Military Police he has a depth of knowledge ranging from Military Skills, Communications, Law, First Aid, Conflict Management and surviving hostile areas. Throughout his career he has deployed on operations within the Middle East, Africa, Northern Ireland and the Balkans. Jason’s last appointment was as a specialist instructor at the British Army’s Operational Training & Advisory Group, delivering lessons such as “Rules of Engagement, Forensic Awareness & Prisoner Handling/Detention Procedures”.

Dave King / Trainer
After completing a 22 year career in the Royal Engineers, Dave King joined Mabway as a trainer in April 2006. He has held a number of training appointments including the Royal School of Military Engineering, the Training Centre Manager of the Engineer unit in Northern Ireland, and as a training advisor to the Jamaican Defence Force. Since his arrival at Mabway he has taught Railway Communications been given the responsibility for the development of new instructors and is Mabway’s CONDO Mine Awareness Adviser.

John Laffey / Trainer
John Laffey left the British Army in 2002 on completion of 22 years service in the Royal Signals. He was employed as a Signaler with Network Rail until 2006 when he joined Mabway. During his military career John was a specialist in communications and IT. His tours of duty included instructing in New Zealand, the Caribbean and London where he was responsible for the communications at Buckingham Palace. John was a trained Communications Press Officer and Critical Incident stress debriefing counsellor. As an instructor in all key military subjects he was responsible for the training of junior and senior non-commissioned officers.
Derek McKelvie / Trainer
Derek McKelvie left the Army in January 2006 and joined Mabway in January 2007 after working as a Hire /Sales Manager for one of the largest Marquee Companies in the UK. His last Army appointment was as a Squadron Sergeant Major in charge of over 120 soldiers in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. He has held a number of training appointments including that of the senior Armoured Corps Warrant Officer at the Army’s Land Warfare Center at Warminster.

Ian Seaman / Trainer
Since leaving the Army in March 2006, Ian Seaman has been employed as a trainer with Mabway. Within his 22 Year military career he was employed in a number of roles including Operational, Defence Industry Advisor and Recruiter. An experienced armoured soldier who was responsible for ensuring that the soldiers under his command were trained and prepared for a variety of operational deployments around the world.
