Mabway Captains & Subalterns Polo Tournament

The Captains & Subalterns Polo Tournament was played at Tidworth Polo Club over the weekend of 19th & 20th July, such was the interest in this year’s event that 14 teams participated for three cups.
The winners were as follows, for those that understand military history and regimental roles I will leave you to decide who left most embarrassed:

League 1

Winner - Royal Wessex Yeomanry.
Runner Up - Royal Air Force.

League 2

Winner – Adjutant Generals Corp.
Runner Up – Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.

League 3

Winner – Grenadier Guards.
Runner Up – Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Staff.

The whole weekend, which culminated with the Finals on Sunday, was a huge success with well over 100 guests enjoying a sun-soaked feast of polo, drinks, sumptuous canapés and afternoon tea plus a variety of picnics around the polo ground.
