Link-up is the UK rail industry supplier registration and qualification scheme. Originally established over a decade ago, Link-up has made a significant impact to the rail industry by providing a single common qualification process for suppliers that is shared by Network Rail and over 80 rail organisations.
The Aim of the Course
To raise the standard of delivery of briefings which will enable employees who deliver briefings or impart safety related information to deliver a briefing that is clear, concise, understood by all the recipients, and is effective in the passing of safety and work related information. This will also help employees who deliver briefings to feel comfortable and confident when doing so.
Objectives
The student will have an understanding of the amount of meaningful information that can be imparted and retained by a person receiving a briefing. They will also have an understanding of the following:
- Basic presentation principles and skills
- The effect of positive and negative body language, on the briefing group
- How to positively engage the briefing group
- How to reinforce the briefing message and
- How to use questions and answers to assess the understanding of the briefing group.
