Advanced Safety Critical Communications Training. A large majority of railway industry personnel will have received the initial Safety Critical Communications Course. To maintain the process of changing a culture, continuation training is vital across all sectors of the industry. Designed for staff from Network Rail, the train operating companies and the maintenance subcontractors the Advanced Railway Communications Course will remind the delegates of the importance of accurate Railway Communications and the potential life threatening consequence of poor standards. The course quickly revisits the contents of the rule book and the fundamental skills required to make consistent accurate calls. To make sure the delegates appreciate the standard required they will listen to and grade a series of calls thereby allowing them to analyse and discuss the common faults made across the industry. Having re-established the rules and required standard the remainder of the course is dedicated to practical application of the rules. The delegates make a series of calls in responses to a number of different scenarios placed before them which they grade and analyse to confirm the standard and skills required for accurate Railway Communications by all railway industry personnel in their work place.
